Gluten Free - Quaker Steel Cut Oats

My journey to figure out my belly issues began yesterday afternoon but begins in earnest today. Now I'm not a doctor, but I am an intelligent person who can deduce that if having my gallbladder removed did not alleviate the huge thing I call my belly from squashing me into fatigue, bloating and shortness of breath; then I have other issues as well. Perusing websites for other reasons I came across a little blurb about gluten allergy. The symptoms were so dead on to what I have been going through that I figured I had better read up on the subject.

Quaker Steel Cut Oats
1 1/2 cup water
1/4 cup oats
1/2 cup Splenda
1/2 cup blueberries

Boil water. Add oats. Simmer uncovered for 15 to 25 minutes (to your desired consistency). Remove from heat add Splenda and stir. Add blueberries.

I truly enjoyed this breakfast. It had the deep creamy flavor that we come to expect from oatmeal with the sweetness that I know I enjoy from the Splenda. To make it perfect was the bursting tart fading into sweetness of the blueberries.

My tummy didn't feel bad afterwards but I did still start to bloat...
